Dear Parent / Carer
On Monday 13 th January Brent Council were told by Ofsted that an Ofsted/Care Quality Commission Area SEND Inspection will begin and last for three weeks.
The inspection will look at local services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities provided by the local authority and partners.
This includes education, health, social care and early help. The inspection is designed to make sure the services offered by
the council and its partners are effective and meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND to achieve their best possible outcomes.

As part of the inspection parents, young people, and practitioners (who work with children or young people) are invited to share their experiences of the help and support available to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Brent.
Feedback from parents and other interested groups will give inspectors as broad a picture as possible about the current SEND provision in the local area.
We ask that you take this opportunity to feedback your views and lived experience. Please do also support and encourage your son/daughter to complete the survey for children and young people.

We will also be at the Avenue café at the Avenue School 60 Christchurch Avenue NW6 7BH
on Thursday 16th January 10-2pm to support anyone to complete the survey.
