Become a SEND Parent Champion
Do you want to make a real difference for families in your community?
We’re looking for enthusiastic parent carers who want to use their lived experience to support other families.
As a SEND Parent Champion, you will:
- Offer peer support to other parent carers
- Help families find local SEND services and support
- Share information within your school and community
- Help us understand what matters most to families
- Represent the voices of parent carers
- Build stronger connections between families and local services
We work in partnership with Brent Council, North West London Integrated Care System (NWL ICS), Coram, schools, health services and voluntary organisations to ensure families are better informed, connected and supported.
No previous experience is needed—just enthusiasm, compassion and a willingness to help.
We provide:
- Full training
- Ongoing support and mentoring
- Regular networking opportunities
- Personal development opportunities
- Reimbursement of agreed volunteer expenses
