The role of a SENDco in Brent

Join us to learn more about the role of the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). Every educational setting has a SENCo who helps ensure that children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the right support, coordinates provision, and advises staff and families to promote inclusive education.

Identifying and Assessing Needs: A SENCo works with teachers, parents, and external professionals to identify pupils with SEND and uses observations, assessments, and progress data to understand each child’s needs and challenges.

The morning session will be led by Justine Beadle [Specialist SEND Advisory Teacher) and the evening session will be led by Simone Lewis .
