This policy sets out how the Brent Parent Carer Forum (BPCF) uses and protects any information that you give us.

BPCF will fully comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations  2018, which state that information must be:

BPCF is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this policy.

The membership database we hold may not be e-mailed under any circumstances and will be held on a system with encrypted access.

BPCF may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25^th May 2018. 

We may collect the following personal information:

• Name
• Contact information including email address and telephone number
• demographic information such as postcode, age group, ethnic background, preferences and interests
• Name of school your child(ren) attend if any
• Details related to the disability of your child and other members of your immediate family

We require this information to understand your needs and represent your interests in matters related to the function of BPCF.

• We may periodically send you emails about local events that we think would be of interest, newsletters, forum meetings, articles and links to other organisations that offer you the opportunity to have your voice heard or influence services in matters related to SEND.
• From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for research purposes or to surveys. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate physical and electronic and procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our website or emails we send may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
