The Brent Outreach Autism Team (BOAT) supports settings in their work with autistic
children and young people up to the age of 19. The team supports children and
young people attending Brent mainstream maintained schools, sixth forms and pre-
school educational settings.
Supporting Transition to Secondary School

Would you like to meet other parents of autistic children going through this
transition?
Would you like to gain a greater insight into what you can be doing now to
support this transition?
Are you thinking about telling your child about their diagnosis?
This session will provide an opportunity to join Clare, Sara and Alice to support your
thinking regarding options for secondary placements and how to support a smooth transition to your child’s next school.
